Maggie Montgomery

 Maggie has enjoyed a long career in the music profession. A prize winner at RSAMD, she was appointed to the viola section of Scottish Opera Orchestra. After having her children she decided to freelance and has played with all the major Scottish orchestras. She’s been lucky enough to play with many famous names including Pavarotti, Monserrat Caballe, James Galway, Andrea Bochelli, Kathryn Jenkins, Alfie Boe, Neil Sedaka and many more. Among the highlights are sharing a platform with Anton and Erin. She also enjoys playing with tribute bands particular favourites being Whitney Houston and George Michael. Maggie has recently accepted a post with Scottish Ballet. She teaches at Dollar Academy and her passion for musical education led to founding Mull Musicmakers. Chamber music is another passion and she loves playing with the Belford Quartet.
